Growing bets on easing pressured the US Dollar, making Gold more attractive to overseas buyers. Bullion also drew support from fears of a potential US government shutdown, with Washington gridlocked over funding and the Labor Department warning it would halt key data releases, including Friday’s jobs report, if a shutdown occurs.
